Contact Mahira Khan

The easiest way of contacting the Super is to call the police station and somehow make them think that the caller is legit and important enough to pass the call on to Mahira. Good friends and family will have her private number.

People who have "official" reasons to contact her physically at the police station - journalists, other constables, and so on - can easily find her in her office.

[Walter calls the police station as soon as he spots a now familiar stranger at the museum, and mentions how he was involved in that case as further explanation if required.]

This is Walter Weekes. Please call me back as soon as you are able. The man we spotted at the bomb site- he's back again.

[He's keeping his voice as calm as possible. It's... not entirely working.]

[Well then.]

I have followup for Superintendent Khan's investigation from this past November, with possible need for direct action.

[Taking a deep breath, he proceeds more calmly:]

The man spotted at the bomb site last September - he's here at the museum reopening.

Are those references to StE I spy? Or are those kinds of theories just that universal? XD

[Walter snorts in sympathetic bafflement.]

No, nothing like that.

They didn't leave a copy of the questioning records, did they?

[Walter suspects that they didn't - which would be at once secure and rather unfair.]

When the Superintendent came by in November, the stranger at the bomb site was all we were asked about. No one was able to track him down for questioning, but I'm seeing that same man here clear as day.

[Walter is very Not Amused at being put on hold, but then Khan does pick up, which sets him at ease... somewhat.]

I don't suppose whoever passed you the phone explained why I called, or at least repeated what I said?

[He sounds like he's talking light about it, but that's to belie his stress on the matter.]

I can give you a current location on the man we last met to talk about.

Yes.

All he's holding right now is a cat, but we are in a building full of people.

At the museum reopening, to be precise.

[Which also brings up the question of why does he still have the cat in here?]
iamnotgod: Black and white picture of a man looking up and off to the right. (What Even Is This?)

Should it be obvious what breed the cat is?

That will not be a problem.

[Walter's only a little surprised at being put on hold before she asks that follow-up question.]

Yes, a very fluffy grey one.

If it's shedding, he'll be causing a very different set of problems.

[If the man doesn't even appear on the footage, Walter will be disappointed and angry but will understand.]

I'm as confused as to why he has it - let alone in here - as you are, Superintendent.

And no, though he does appear to be talking to people.

[Other Numbered, to be precise. Which Walter is also stressing out about.]

[So, no different from what he's been doing, then. Walter can live with that, though he's not entirely content with it, either.]

Understood.

[And then, just to make sure she knows, and for taking this seriously:]

Thank you, Superintendent Khan.
